Zamling Buddha foundation is a non-governmental organization working in Nepal to promote sustainable development incorporating social, economic and environmental dimensions into the development interventions. The organization has conceived holistic development approach as the foundation of developments.
Staying true to our belief, Zamling Buddha foundation since its inception strives to help those children who are motivated to attend school but cannot due to different short comings. Zamling Buddha foundation aims to bridge that gap and to help those students get re enrolled back to the school. We have opened a library to promote the tradition of reading among the students of governmental school. We have also tried to give them a fair share of perks of 21st century by opening a digital classroom at Kathmadnu. Zamling Buddha foundation had also maintained two paid fellowship positions at Kathmandu to assist the student to explore boundaries which normal teaching learning practices fails to address. We are also creating a platform for community counseling and a support group for students where we can understand the problems faced by the students which can then be communicated with the responsible members of community to find out a sustainable solution.
Zamling Buddha Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established and registered under the organization registration act 2034 at the District administration office, Kathmandu and affiliated to Social Welfare Council. The organization is steered by a group of dynamic youths who are at the helm of every decision-making level and contribute to the organization strictly on a voluntary basis. We are an odd bunch. We hail from different walks of life and have different trades. But what binds us is our belief, our dream, a common goal: to see every last child attending school. And besides being united for a common goal of realizing the dream of an educated Nepal, we also maintain a strong sense of bonding among our members. Mainly we work in the following categories:
In Zamling Buddha Foundation, we haven’t forgotten our roots. We know where we began. We also know it will take much more time, effort and resources to realize our dream into reality. But until then like every other journey that human has ever completed or will complete, we are moving towards the right direction. One step at a time, one child at a time.
Disinfect your home when someone is sick or if someone who is positive for COVID-19 has been in your home within the last 24 hours. Disinfecting kills any remaining germs on surfaces and reduces the spread of germs. If you are caring for someone who has COVID-19, detailed instructions for caregivers are available. Keep disinfectants out of the reach of children.
The national average of school working days in one academic year is 232 days. We provides 232 freshly cooked, healthy, and tasty meals to one child on each school day for an entire year.
